Forest bathing is a popular way to improve well-being by connecting with nature. Can we feel this connection right where we are, in the built environment?
Courtney— you have expanded my concept of mindfulness- thank you. Ive been working on it for a while. I remember New York City wind patterns - I used to plan my path around the wind tunnels thru the canyons between the buildings. I loved the trees that seemingly grew out of sidewalks. Now that i live in a more suburban place, nature is more visible, but i still think we miss a lot. And sadly, the growing number of people that need housing are causing more and more destruction of natural areas to accommodate them.
Thank you for the nudges you provide, written in such a wonderful way.
Thanks for your comment! How to best accommodate development and nature is a huge conundrum. I think a lot of people understandably want to live in areas where they feel close to nature, but they can wind up harming the very thing they were seeking. (And yes, it’s amazing to have bespoke artwork from a professional artist rather than stock art).

And I love your use of Sandy’s painting.
